Achievement Assembly and STEM groups

Today we celebrated star class of the week -P2/3, awarded certificates to 2 children in each class for things like never giving up and hard work. We also sang a feel good song chosen by Ben!!

We then went into our STEM house groups…what learning was taking place!

A fond farewell to Miss Mackay

Miss Mackay has been our amazing student in P1/2. She will be missed by all children and staff. We wish her well in her teaching post in August!!

Today we are reviewing the new STEM challenge equipment the Parent Council have bought for our school.

Marble Run helps us to plan ahead and work together in a team to build things.  With the Light Up Glow Track we are learning to imagine and visualise what we want to build and to talk about our ideas. Lego helps us to keep trying and not give up when we are trying to solve problems.  We were also working in teams making series and parallel circuits.

Our Amazing Parent Council

I would just like to give a shout out to our enthusiastic, fun and supportive parent council! You have done so much for the school this year and we really appreciate it. We always leave the meetings feeling very postive and happy so thank you all! Onto our next ventures together. 😍😍

If you aren’t on the parent council and would like to join let me know.  We would love to have more parents coming along. Honestly… you will leave feeling SO informed and happy hearing about all the things our school does to support your amazing children.

Our Parent Council are one of a kind and go above and beyond. Come and join us… and have a laugh too. 😊

JRSO Training Day

Our new Junior Road Safety Officers had their first training day today at Eden Court. The girls and Miss C learned about keeping safe on the road and got some top tips! I know there are some changes coming soon in relation to the school roads that will help to ensure walking to and from school is safe for all.  The JRSO team will be trying to encourage more people to walk to school. Keep your eyes peeled for info on walk to school week on 20th May. 😉
